With such a rich history, it is an incredibly disappointing field that lines up for this year's race. Back at Eagle Farm for the first time since 2016, that could play a big role in the result. We only have history to go on, and past dosages find that in the past decade, only one winner has had a DI over 2.09 and that was the Qld bred Tinto back in 2014. There is a distinct possibility that her dosage profile does not reflect the influence of her sire, Red Dazzler nor her strong NZ heritage. The only other winner with a DI over 2.00 was Winx at 2.09. The other winners have largely come in two main groups. Firstly those with a DI around 1.00 and those in a range of the 1.40 to 1.80 mark. While a few seem to fit the ranges of past winners, the best of them looks to be Bargain who should give a very strong showing. There is probably a good chance that one of the others might be able to put some value into the multiples.
