Always an interesting race, and it would be easy to make an argument that the quality of the race has historically been much stronger than the Group 1 Coolmore Classic.  With Winx on the honour role, it is often an important race for the 3yo's and the fillies have a good record at the set weights.  It is an interesting race this year, and it will certainly be interesting to see how the form from the race holds up for the Autumn.  Maybe it is an oddity of the 1500m distance at Rosehill but we see a fairly similar pattern of past winners of this race when compared to the Coolmore Classic.  Again we see a lot of winners in the 3.20 to 4.80 range, so a little wider than the other race but still close in type.  The other two ranges of recent winners are 1.70 to 2.50, and 5.80 to 6.60 so the saddlecloth range of 1 to 9 all fit into these ranges.  One interesting factor is that not one winner in the last 10 runnings of this race have had any Professional ratings.  If this continues, then Winning Party and Mizzy, if she doesn't get a start in the Coolmore, are two that should run well.  We will be looking at Mizzy very closely if she does get a start in the Coolmore as well but I think it will unlikely.
