The race started off as the JT Delaney Quality back in 1964 and has had some great winners including Eye Liner, Charlton Boy, and Strawberry Road. It has also changed its name on a regular basis and has been the Tourist Ministers Cup, Robins Kitchen Cup, Carlton Cup and BTC Cup to name a few. It is hard to know what to make of this year's race being back at 1200m at Eagle Farm after a couple of stints at 1300m and one at 1350m at Doomben. Nevertheless past winners have come in a few fairly small ranges and this Savatiano looks the standout. If you want one with some value, expect Jonker to run well, but it looks like the Adelaide form might not hold up.
